The Detroit Chapter was Chartered January 16, 2006. In 2006, the chapter is also known as the Detroit Football Faith Chapter to commemorate the successful Detroit Super Bowl XL celebration.

2006 Goal: The Chapter seeks to integrate faith, freedom and positive football stories through meaningful fellowship with the racial and ethnic diversity of professional football.

Spiritual Vision: "NOW THE LORD IS THAT SPIRIT, AND WHERE THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS, THERE IS LIBERTY." 11 CORINTHIANS 3:17" From the monumental engraving behind the famous Spirit of Detroit statue at the Coleman A. Young Municipal center and county circuit court building.
